What a way to start the meeting off! Working from home has officially gone too far because a Detroit cop really thought it was acceptable to show up to virtual court in his drawers. Officer Matthew Jackson logged onto Zoom for a disorderly conduct hearing with his police uniform shirt on and absolutely nothing below the waist.
The whole thing was going normally until Judge Sean Perkins asked Jackson to appear on camera for the record. That's when everyone got an eyeful of the officer sitting on his couch looking like he just rolled out of bed.

Defense attorney TaTaNisha Reed was trying to figure out if she was really seeing what she thought she was seeing. She told the judge "He needs to alter his camera" which is the politest way to say this man is half naked in court.
Judge Perkins looked at his screen and had to literally ask "You got some pants on officer?" which is a sentence no judge should ever have to say. Jackson said "No sir" without a hint of embarrassment and just moved his camera up.
Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison released a statement apologizing to the court and saying this doesn't represent the department's professionalism. Judge William McConico said he was stunned because Jackson is normally a very professional officer.
The pandemic might be over but some people clearly never left that Zoom meeting from the waist up mentality and it shows.
