Community Guidelines

The Talk Lounge is a community for entertainment fans. We want everyone to feel welcome and safe. These guidelines apply to all user-generated content including comments, profiles, and messages.

Do

Be respectful and civil in all interactions

Share your opinions constructively

Report content that violates these guidelines

Use your real name or a consistent username

Engage with the content and community positively

Credit original sources when sharing information

Do Not

Harass, bully, or threaten other users

Post hate speech, slurs, or discriminatory content

Share personal information of others (doxxing)

Spam, self-promote, or post repetitive content

Impersonate other users, celebrities, or staff

Post misleading information or conspiracy theories

Manipulate the points or Lounge Bucks system through fraudulent means, exploits, or coordinated abuse

Use bots, automated tools, or AI-generated comments without disclosure; all comments must be written by humans

Post copyrighted content belonging to others without permission or proper attribution

Moderation

Our moderation team reviews flagged content and may remove comments or suspend accounts that violate these guidelines. Decisions are made at our discretion. Repeat offenders may be permanently banned.

Enforcement

First violation: Warning. Second violation: 7-day comment suspension. Third violation: Permanent ban. Severe violations (threats, doxxing, hate speech) result in immediate permanent ban.

Appeals

If you believe your content was removed in error or your account was suspended unfairly, you may appeal by emailing legal@thetalklounge.com with your username and the content in question. Appeals are reviewed within 5 business days.

Reporting

Use the report button on any comment to flag it for review. You can also email legal@thetalklounge.com with a link to the content. All reports are reviewed within 24 hours.

Points & Lounge Bucks Integrity

Any attempt to manipulate the points system, Lounge Bucks, or rewards through fake accounts, bots, automated scripts, coordinated activity, or exploitation of bugs will result in immediate forfeiture of all points and account termination. This includes creating multiple accounts, using referral fraud, or any other scheme to artificially inflate points or entries.

AI & Bot Policy

All comments on The Talk Lounge must be written by humans. The use of bots, automated tools, or AI to generate comments is prohibited. Comments suspected of being AI-generated or bot-posted will be removed. Accounts found using automated commenting tools will be permanently banned.

Copyright in Comments

Do not post copyrighted content belonging to others in comments without permission or proper attribution. This includes song lyrics, lengthy article excerpts, proprietary images, and other protected works. Brief quotations for the purpose of discussion or commentary are acceptable under fair use principles. Repeated copyright violations will result in account suspension.
