Rules for comments, profiles, reporting, moderation, and participation in The Talk Lounge community.

The Talk Lounge is built for energetic discussion without harassment, manipulation, or attacks on other people.

Do

Be respectful and civil in discussions
Share opinions constructively
Report content that violates these guidelines
Use a consistent identity without impersonating others
Credit sources when sharing factual material
Respect privacy, copyright, and other people's rights

Do Not

Harass, threaten, bully, or dox another person
Post hate speech or content attacking protected groups
Spam, manipulate engagement, or repeatedly self promote
Impersonate another reader, public figure, or TTL staff member
Post maliciously deceptive material or knowingly false claims as fact
Use bots or automated commenting tools to manipulate discussion
Post unlawful or infringing material

Moderation and enforcement

Comments can appear after server validation and remain subject to reporting and moderation. TTL may warn, restrict, redact, remove, suspend, or ban based on the severity, context, history, and risk of the conduct. Severe threats, doxxing, exploitation, coordinated abuse, or other high risk behavior can result in immediate restriction.

Reporting

Use the report control on a comment when available or contact legal@thetalklounge.com with a link and enough context to locate the material. Reports are prioritized based on safety and severity rather than a guaranteed review time.

Appeals

If you believe a moderation decision was made in error, contact legal@thetalklounge.com with the affected username, content, and relevant context. TTL may request additional information before reviewing the decision.

Automation and AI generated comments

Automated commenting, bots, or AI generated comments used to spam, impersonate, manipulate engagement, evade moderation, or flood discussions are prohibited. TTL does not claim that it can reliably determine whether every individual comment was written with AI assistance.

Copyright

Do not post copyrighted material you do not have the right to use. Copyright complaints can follow the DMCA and Copyright Policy.
