Lil Baby FRESH Opens With 6.1 Million First Day Spotify Streams

Lil Baby new album FRESH is out, and the first day streaming numbers tell a complicated story. The project pulled about 6.1 million Spotify streams in its first full day of release, according to tracker Kurrco, as reported by Hot New Hip Hop.

That is a sharp drop from the Atlanta star's previous efforts. His 2025 album WHAM secured 16 million streams on Spotify in its first day, while his 2022 album It Only Me earned 23.6 million. The new number is also below his older projects, with My Turn at 15.5 million, Drip Harder at 13.9 million, The Voice of the Heroes at 12.1 million and Street Gossip at 9.9 million.

The track by track breakdown shows an average of around 356,000 Spotify streams per song. Mr. Do Something led the album's new material at 882,000 streams. All My Partnas, featuring Future, Young Thug and Rylo Rodriguez, followed with approximately 571,000 streams. FRESH recorded the 11th biggest first day streaming debut among rap albums released this year.

The album itself arrived on Friday, November 6, through Quality Control Music and Motown Records. It is Lil Baby fifth studio album, a 17 track set with guests on only two of the songs. The project is led by Dead Fresh, produced by Pharrell Williams, which spent 12 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, peaked at number 18 and reached number one at urban and rhythmic radio.

The response from fans has been warmer than the numbers suggest. Lil Baby recently took to social media to clap back at a fan harsh review of the album and the washed talk around the release. Many listeners are praising the project and pushing back on the criticism, even as the first day streams land well below his past openings. FRESH also debuted at number one on Apple Music, a sign that the album is still reaching the top of the charts on arrival.

The numbers do not tell the whole story. First day streams measure only one day on one platform, and albums can build over weeks as fans sit with the music and as singles take off. Lil Baby has four projects that debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, and FRESH is gunning for his fourth with this set after WHAM topped the chart last year.

For now the question is whether the music wins out over the math. The guest list is stacked, the Pharrell link up is already proven on the charts, and the fans who love the album are loud about it. The streams say the opening was soft. The fans say the album is still fresh.
