Philadelphia police are searching for Jamal Pistoria, 33, wanted for murder after a mother of two was shot dead inside a Stenton Avenue salon in Philadelphia.

The Philadelphia Police Department Homicide Unit issued the wanted notice on November 4, 2026. Police say Pistoria is wanted for the homicide by shooting of 34 year old Bellaniri Ofelia Hernandez Camilo inside a salon on the 6300 block of Stenton Avenue, and the assault of two additional women at that location.
The attack happened Monday afternoon around 2 p.m. at ABBA Blessed Beauty Salon in the West Oak Lane neighborhood. Prosecutors say Pistoria walked into the salon and pointed a gun at the woman working the register, then marched her at gunpoint to a small back room where two other women were gathered. Police say he fired a shot into the ceiling and locked the door.
Police say Pistoria then beat and pistol whipped two of the women and forced one of them to perform a sexual act. Police say he then shot Hernandez Camilo multiple times. The surviving women fought back and overpowered him, and he ran from the salon, grabbing cash from the register on his way out.
Hernandez Camilo was rushed to Jefferson Einstein Hospital, where she died. She was a mother of two. The two women who survived were also hurt. The salon owner, Arisleidy Perez Gil, was seriously hurt and needs surgery on her arm, according to a fundraiser set up by the salon.

Funeral plans have been set for Hernandez Camilo as the community mourns a woman taken in a place where she should have been safe.
Police have charged Pistoria with murder, attempted murder, rape, aggravated assault, burglary and weapons possession, among other crimes. Police describe him as 5 foot 6 and 150 pounds, armed and extremely dangerous. Police believe he may be in the area of the 1500 block of East Tulpehocken Street.

Police say they do not believe Pistoria knew any of the women and that the attack appears to have been random.
