Kodak Black Walks Free But With Major Restrictions

Kodak Black is out of jail but he is far from free. The rapper posted a $75,000 bond on Thursday after spending two days behind bars on MDMA trafficking charges in Orange County, Florida. But the conditions attached to his release are no joke, and one wrong move could send him right back.

A judge granted the bond despite prosecutors pushing for Kodak to remain locked up, citing his extensive criminal history which includes 12 felony arrests. The judge reportedly rejected the prosecution's attempt to use Kodak's rap career against him in the bond hearing, which is a small win for the "No Flockin" rapper.

The Conditions Are Tight

As part of his release, Kodak Black, whose real name is Bill Kapri, must stay away from drugs, firearms, and any associates connected to the case. That is a lot of restrictions for someone in the hip hop world where those things are often part of the environment. One violation and he is back in a cell.

The charges stem from a November 2025 incident in Orlando where authorities allegedly found MDMA in his vehicle during a traffic stop. He turned himself in on Wednesday and pleaded not guilty to trafficking between 10 and 200 grams of the substance.

Can He Stay Out of Trouble?

This is the question everyone is asking. Kodak has a pattern of getting released and then finding himself back in legal trouble within months. His talent is undeniable but his ability to stay on the right side of the law has been questionable at best. The trafficking charge carries mandatory minimum sentencing in Florida, so the stakes could not be higher. Will this be the wake up call he needs?
